Yonni Soul

About the Artist

Introducing vocalist/songwriter Yonni Soul, based in the Washington D.C. area by way of Alexandria, VA (Community of Gum Springs). Yonni studied voice in her early school years as well as in college. Yonni has always been a performer. At the tender age of 10, she appeared on Apollo Amateur Night in Harlem, New York. The audience fell in love with her as she danced her way into their hearts. In middle and high school, Yonni studied theater arts and sang in the exclusive (audition only) Chamber singers. Yonni was brought up in the church and was very involved in the choir and drama ministry.

 

Yonni has been writing and performing music with some of the Washington, DC local Go-go bands since 2001 and has paid her dues. When asked what they thought about Yonni’s performance/show, a fan replied, “I will come back to hear her again and again…”
